2010 Chairs conference

Conference overview

The 2010 Chairs conference took place at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London on Tuesday 23 February 2010.

It was an Appointments Commission’s event, organised in partnership with the Department of Health, the Strategic Health Authorities, NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, NHS Confederation and Monitor.

As in previous years, the conference provided an invaluable opportunity for chairs to meet, hear from and participate in discussion with key leaders on major issues in the health care sector. 

Programme

Speakers at the conference included:

  • Nigel Edwards, Director of Policy, NHS Confederation;
  • Dame Yve Buckland, Chair, NHS Institute for Innovation & Improvement;
  • David Nicholson, Chief Executive of the NHS in England;
  • Anne Watts, Chair, The Appointments Commission.
