Thrive or Survive? A Monitor conference for existing and aspirant foundation trusts

Thursday 12 March 2009, Victoria Park Plaza, London

Monitor's conference for chairs, chief executives, finance directors and non executive and executive board members from NHS foundation trusts and aspirant foundation trusts.

This one day event examined the challenges for medium to long-term strategy, short-term risks and opportunities for foundation trust development and the health and economic challenges shaping health care.

Speakers included:

  • Baroness Young, Care Quality Commission;  
  • Roger Bootle, Capital Economics;
  • Alan Bloom, Ernst & Young; and  
  • Evan Davis, Broadcaster & journalist who chaired the conference.

The conference looked at the three years ahead and what successful foundations trusts will have to do not just to survive but to thrive.
